This is the white version of GAN'S Oryza rug, a design by Odosdesign studio that arises from the simple application of embroidery as a dashed line. Its graphic pattern is made with white viscose and it is embroidered by hand on a base of dark gray felt.
Both the use of dashed lines and their arrangement as quadrants and rows is inspired by the aesthetics of rice fields as seen from the air, a grain whose scientific name was used to name the collection. It is available in two sizes, as well as in a different version with green embroidery.
ORYZA, A MODEL FROM GAN'S COLLECTION OF FELT RUGS
Felt is obtained by combing wool, applying steam and pressing it. It is a compact material that does not come from a weaving process and that, according to our own experience, offers inexhaustible design possibilities because it can be cut and dyed, sewn or embroidered, braided and molded. Therefore, those at GAN, consider felt an indispensable material in the field of contemporary design.
