This is the green Rodas rug from the kilim collection by GAN. It features an innovative design that combines two completely different materials: the base is jute, rough and matte; while the pattern, inspired by traditional forging grills, is made of viscose, a soft and shiny material.
Designed by the internal GAN design team, it is a very light and reversible piece, available in three sizes. In addition, you can choose from up to three different color options: white, black or blue.
RODAS, A RUG FROM GAN'S KILIM COLLECTION
The kilim is an artisan method of rug making in which the weft is tightly woven on a manual loom, using only threads and no knotting. The result is a light fabric with no pile, similar to that of upholstery. It is a technique that offers great flexibility, a feature that GAN explores thoroughly to create high-impact details.
RODAS IS A PROPOSAL FROM THE GAN DESIGN TEAM
At GAN, we develop our collections with external designers with whom we identify and share our philosophy: sensitivity for artisanal craft, experimental attitude and a personal style in contemporary proposals. In addition, our team also produces its own designs. Sometimes, they are the result of a custom design projects, but other times they arise during the research phase for other manufacturing processes. The creative direction in both cases is led by our director, Mapi Millet, who has extensive experience as a textile designer.
